I've made a new texture from cellphone pics I took of a actual pumpkin. There are still some things to iron out but I'm getting closer to a final version.
Made this last night as a test. Not much work put into it really.
Bought a pumpkin just so I'll have a reference and something to use as a texture for the final.
Sadly, something about the Displacement map is causing the stone path to warp oddly (as you can see).
I want to fix it and at the same tome not fix it. The warping kinda gives it a more realistic feel.
Anywho, the background is a placeholder as are the current pumpkin textures and lighting.
Created in Blender 2.71 with some help from Crazy Bump for (semi) realistic texture.
I'm placing this image under the Creative Commons License (w/o commercial use).
But feel free to use it for your desktop, avatar, banner, etc. Just don't attempt to make money off of it.
